THE LAND woo hoo!

Click here to see a panarama video of my neighborhood, as viewed from the top of the Cedar Trees in my front yard!

Here are some shots of the neighborhood of Hanover Park i live in.

There's Rinne Pool (pronounced "RIN - ee) that has been abandoned. I'm not sure if it's closed just for the season (it's obviously not for swimming in the winter time) or if it's been shut down and condemned for good (Which it hopefully is). Rinne Pool is located basically right next to my house (not even a 2 minute walk).

Here's some photos of the newly renovated water tower. It's pretty huge actually (a little too big if you ask me). But i guess it's serving a good purpose. what would a town be without an insanely nasty eye sore towering above the horizon line?

Some new additions to the town recently: a Krispy Kreme (Dunkin' Donuts is still wayyyyyyyyy better). and Dominicks has a grand opening again (it opened quite a long time ago...don't know why they're having another grand opening....). For those of you don't live in the Chicagoland area, Dominicks is a grocery store chain only in the Chicagoland area.

Here's the infamous sled hill. Numerous children have lost limbs going down this devil's hill. Personally, i cracked my head open one cold winter afternoon when my sled got spun around and i was going backward and slammed into a fence that was oddly enough put ON the hill.....Don't let the sun shining through the clouds make the impression that hill is a wonderful thing. When you're speeding down that thing (with a 50 degree downgrade at its steepest) you better hold on tight, and if someone gets in your way you don't try to avoid them. They should know better than to get in the way of a sled going 40+ mph. And if the don't...oh they'll learn.

Here's a shot of 7-11 (the best conveinent store ever! SLURPEES ROCK!!!!!! EAT THAT IOWA!) and then a shot of the pond behind the sled hill where if you go too fast down the hill, you'll end up on it (or IN it, as the case may be).

Here's a sign for the Water-Reclamation Plant (aka "Sewage Plant"). It's located right next to a huge baseball complex that has like 8 or 7 fields that are used for little league baseball and football. The picture to the bottom right is that of the bridge they replaced. The old one was made of wood and was so old and it was extremely narrow and semi trucks used to get stuck underneath it. The new one is now made of better materials, but the road itself wasn't redone so it's still extremely narrow and the height is still the same, so semis still get stuck underneath it. But hey, at least the Trains that go above the bridge won't fall down anymore!
Just some messed up street names, that's all: (Tekakwitha!!!!!)

Click the "EXPRESSWAY ENDS" sign to explore the Wonderous, "Road to Nowhere". CLick on "Cedar Ave" to explore my street and my home.  Click on the little shanty on the bottom right to see what happened to "Handy Andy" an independent hardware store (Like Menards or Home Depot).
